MoU Signed for Cultural Festival Cooperation Between the Iranian Peace Soldier House and the Supreme Council of Free Trade Zones
A memorandum of understanding was signed to collaborate on the organization of cultural festivals, with the presence of Ghasem Rahimi, CEO of the Iranian Peace Soldier House; Roozbeh Rahiminejad, Deputy of Culture and Arts at the organization; and Mehdi Mazinani, Deputy for Culture and Tourism at the Secretariat of the Supreme Council of Free Trade-Industrial Zones.
At the beginning of the meeting, Ghasem Rahimi emphasized the international vision of the Peace Soldier House, highlighting its extensive global partnerships. He noted that the upcoming Avaye Solh International Film Festival aligns with the organization’s peace-driven cultural mission.
Rahimi also elaborated on the structure and ongoing activities of the NGO, emphasizing its commitment to cultural diplomacy and artistic expression as tools for promoting peace.
Roozbeh Rahiminejad praised the support of the Free Trade Zones Secretariat, noting that the film festival marks the beginning of a series of upcoming cultural events—including festivals in cinema, theatre, visual arts, and music—organized by the Peace Soldier House.
Mehdi Mazinani, Director General of Culture, Tourism, and Social Affairs at the Secretariat, expressed his satisfaction with the festival’s launch. He underlined the importance of cultural initiatives in today’s society and expressed hope that this international event would benefit the country’s cultural sector.
The MoU outlines commitments such as coordinating between free zones to optimize festival distribution, utilizing artistic platforms to foster dialogue and cultural exchange, providing a platform for showcasing national and international artists, applying international event standards, organizing expert programs, and inviting renowned artists.
The session was also attended by Reza Jafari, Director of Tourism and Cultural Heritage; Hananeh Sadat Safavi, Director General of Cultural, Artistic, and Creative Industries; Ali Ashrafi, Senior Advisor; and Morteza Ranjbaran, Media Advisor to the Peace Soldier House.
The official call for entries to the first Avaye Solh International Film Festival will be released in April 2025.
