Laleh Eskandari, renowned Iranian actress of cinema and television, has been officially appointed as the director of the first edition of the Voice of Peace International Film Festival. The announcement was made by Roozbeh Rahiminejad, Director of the Festival and Deputy for Culture and Arts at the Peacekeeper House of Iran.

In the official statement of appointment, Rahiminejad wrote:

“In light of your artistic, cultural, and social background, and with full confidence in your capabilities, you are hereby appointed as the Director of the First Edition of the Voice of Peace International Film Festival. We trust that, by drawing on your valuable experience and leveraging available resources, you will play a key role in promoting the culture of peace, dialogue, and coexistence, and in ensuring the success of this significant cultural event.”

The festival invites filmmakers to submit their entries via the official website www.peaceevent.ir by May 27, 2025 (corresponding to 6 Khordad 1404 in the Iranian calendar).

The inaugural Voice of Peace Film Festival will be hosted in the Aras Free Zone, featuring sections for feature films, short films, documentaries, and animated films, all centered around themes of peace, empathy, and human dignity.
